I finished the book ‘Shoe Dog’ by Phil Knight today.
For those who don’t know, Phil is the co-founder of Nike. It’s probably one of the best memoirs that I’ve read and I recommend it to anyone interested in entrepreneurship.
My biggest takeaway from the book is exactly is exactly what is quoted by Bill Gates on the cover (I have the UK edition). “A refreshingly honest reminder of what the path to business success really looks like.”
Phil goes pretty deep on the early years of Nike both up and downs. It’s a highly intimate look into his life during this time.
Will definitely be one that I read again in the future. If you’ve read ‘Shoe Dog’ and happen to have read this let me know, would love to have a conversation about it.
