Popularity or respect?

Another gem from “Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less” by Greg McKeown. Now highly recommended.

When you say ‘no’ to someone or something you are trading popularity for respect.

Taking this one step further, if you don’t say anything (in some cases today known as ‘ghosting’) you lose both popularity and respect.
