It’s interesting how this concept has such a grasp on our lives on so many different levels. The more time or money we invest into something the harder it is to let go. Even if that thing or idea isn’t bringing us any joy or value.
If we’re at a restaurant, and are full, we will continue to eat because we paid for the meal.
We continue to invest time in relationships simply because we have invested so much time already.
We decide to finish reading a bad book, simply because we’re already half way through.
Acknowledging that it is there, constantly, makes it easier to avoid it.
