Context of reviews

I’m always shocked when I read online reviews that actually match what the business is trying to achieve.

I remember an example shared by my dad.

A dive bar in Arizona had a ton of reviews on Yelp saying, for example:

“2/5 Stars. The service was poor, atmosphere was grungy, food was mediocre.”

To which the owner would reply:

“That’s what we are going for!”

Online reviews are great but we need to factor in the context of the person writing it.
