Apparently 10 years ago employers were getting worried if their employees were joining LinkedIn. They couldn’t control this type of behaviour and were worried that their top talent would be poached from their business because their “resumes” where available to all.
Wow, times have changed.
I don’t know anyone that doesn’t have a LinkedIn profile. Accessing the best talent is easier than ever. The playing field has been levelled.
Business have to do more to retain their best employees.
Opportunities are becoming more abundant.
But I think the most important lesson here is that it’s not worth worrying about something that you can’t control.
