I used the think that you could harness anger to creative desired outcomes.

In some cases this is probably true. War for example (or other forms of combat).

But more often than not it probably doesn’t add any value to situation you are in.

Two things we can do.

  1. Avoid situations that make us angry.
  2. Admit our anger is there. Remember that acting on it isn’t going to add much (if any) value. Move forward with calm action.
