I wrote a short post about the bucketing of beliefs and polarization of so many topics and I want to expand.
The sentence “if you vote for this person than you are a [insert your choice of noun or adjective]” is a very dangerous narrative.
Politics is not that simple.
There are a multitude of issues and topics the we have to find our position on. And then we have to go out and choose a candidate that aligns best with those positions.
Each political topic is weighted differently for every person. But everyone needs to make a choice that sacrifices one belief for another (unless you like to live completely in your echo chamber on the left-right political spectrum).
