From time to time I take a peek into the spam part of my inbox. Usually just the check if something ended up there that shouldn’t have. Which, thanks to Google, is pretty rare.
Alas there is always stuff in there. And usually it looks like this:

I know your name because this is what shows up when we send emails.
I’m not an email marketing expert but I think it should have two rules.
- Automated communications have to be opt-in only.
- There is limited space in the preview of an email. Use it well.
